
The "Beater" configuration and its custom parts were initially added in the 0.4.3.2 update, before being removed in the 0.21 update in favor of the existing Skidplate and the new "The Pointless" configurations. The "Skidplate" configuration and the accompanying skidplates were added in the 0.3.7.4 update. Both would later be superseded by the "1.5 ZXi" and "Track," respectively. Originally, a "Sport" configuration was included, which later became the "Race" as a more factory-optioned version of the Sport took its place. The Covet's configurations have changed greatly over time. It was released on Augwith version 0.3, the initial public release of the game. Shortly after, a post on the official devblog was made providing details and development screenshots.

The Ibishu Covet is a sub-compact three-door hatchback produced by Ibishu from 1986 to 1992.
